Synology Download Station Manager

Synology Download Station Manager is an unofficial macOS client for DSM that fully supports its core functionality. Users can add or remove tasks from offline files, torrent links, or magnet links, specify a custom folder on the NAS for downloads, or use the default directory. The app also provides search capabilities for existing tasks, displaying their status and detailed information, as well as searching through torrent trackers added via DSM on the NAS.

I designed the interface to make these advanced file‑management and download features accessible and easy to use on macOS. By creating clear task management, real‑time status indicators, and intuitive search and folder-selection workflows, I ensured users can manage downloads efficiently without relying on the web interface.

As a result, the client received a fully functional and user‑friendly macOS solution that improved task management, enhanced visibility over download progress, and provided seamless control over NAS download operations—making the system faster, more convenient, and more productive for users.
