Chirk Station Building NEW B Grade TT120 BundleThis building is a representation of Chirk Station, which stood on the Glyn Valley Tramway. The station is currently being rebuilt. Chirk Station existed on the Glyn Valley Tramway. The Glyn Valley Tramway was built to connect the quarries at Glyn Ceriog with the Shropshire Union Canal at Chirk. In July 1935 the GVT was closed, and the following year the track was removed and locomotives scrapped, along with the demolition of many buildings.
