2020 Piona Gavi di Gavi "Geras" In my opinionA museum release Gavi aged in old wood. Geras was the god of old people, so Piona called the wine this, because Gavi has a great ageing potential, and they wanted to show this somewhat unheralded ageing potential. Rounder, softer & more textural than the standard bottlings but lacking none of their drive & minerality. Delicious & with a point of difference.
