American painted Windsor captain's chair (c. 1820) Candlesticks The copper tray was aAmerican Sheraton Windsor fancy chair in original oxide red painted finish with accent bands of green. There is a hexagonal inset design on top of the seat and a circular inset underneath. Comfortably scaled with a lovely patina. American, circa 1820. Condition: The paint has completely worn though on the arms and there are scattered areas of wear on the seat back and spindles. Wear commensurate with age and use.
