The true toppers allow you to make a 180 degree megatree that has a more rounded look

This Star version is based off Richard Holdman's design for his star tree topper with some added inspiration from Tom BetGeorge

All toppers have a 1/4" hole in the center of the topper to help you modify the mounting if needed

So when you have the top of bottom piece overlapped on top the bottom of the top piece and matched up the holes and the zip tie holes you will use small zip ties to attach the pieces together
