For transportation the mortar was dissembled in three parts: barrel, tripod and base plate. The crew also carried a supply of mines. Experienced crew could make up to 25 shots in a minute. The range of the mortar was 3040 meters, while fragments of mine could damage enemy troops in a radius of 60 meters.
