Puffs have always been a way for me to incorporate vintage items with my modern fiber art which has been an adventure in giving old items new life while also supporting small fiber businesses with my yarn purchases

The colors were so fun to mix and play with and bring back memories of a really beautiful stained glass Iris (flower) piece that my parents have always had in their home

I painted the interior a shimmery blue to really showcase the turtle and give it a forever pool of blue water to soak in

The Olive Wood frame is a "seconds" quality meaning it may have some extra character (dents or nooks and crannies, cracks, chips, discoloration, holes, etc.) but to me it only adds to the charm and is part of the magic of reusing! These bowls are handmade in Turkey (Turkiye) from Olive Wood which do not require a tree to be cut, instead the wood is collected from the pruning
