Echinus - silver plated pendant and necklace pencil case A richly coloured pair ofFragments of sea urchin shell have been photographed and used in the base of this pendant, hence it's name Echinus, the scientific name for a sea urchin. The shell, when worn by the sea and the elements shows the purple and pink colours and these are accentuated by the beaded design in this pendant. The pendant is sealed using a deep layer of resin to protect the design. The resin creates a lens effect over the design magnifying the detail and giving
