I don't believe this card had any influence on this mechanic though as I never had an opportunity to show it to anyone because the set got put on hiatus

Its pretty common to have players drawing during the end step of their first turn instead of during the draw step since most players are used to 1v1 Magic where the starting player doesn't draw on their first turn

Either way, somebody is drawing three cards

Plenty of Magics mechanics miss the mark: sometimes theyre too powerful, sometimes theyre too oppressive, sometimes theyre just boring
