4 Likes frost January 10, 2014, 3:26am 18 Yeah, it seems like as time has passed and more and more Pokemon have come into existence, theyve stopped using real-life animals in the various media of the franchise, but back in the early days it was kind of a necessary evil because so many animals didnt have Pokemon counterparts yet one example that comes to mind is the mongoose Gastly made appear in the Maidens Peak episode because that was years before Zangoose had debuted
Those cards were strong enough in the early meta that their counters had a feasible reason to exist in an opponent's Deck
Structure Deck: Hero Generation contains 22 different types of cards (3 UR, 5 SR, 12 R, and 2 N), and has a total of 25 cards (Main Deck: 20 Cards/Extra Deck: 5 Cards)
At the LGS that I play at, it's not common to see all kinds of powerful cards tossed around in casual games and most folks don't bat an eye
The big question remaining is: what will the world think of it
