There is absolutely nothing wrong with good old basic lands, but decks these days have more incentive and ability than ever to play a wide variety of colors off an even wider variety of mana sources

It's trivially easy to trigger the transformation into Aang, Destined Savior and I have a thing for cards that want to attack, yet have vigilance and a tap ability so the every-turn earthbending is a beautiful compliment to a solid card

But some effects can exile another card, and then turn that exiled card into a plotted card: Jace Reawakened or Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot, for example

Its a fun deck to play, but the problem here is that it doesnt lend itself to an upgrade very easily
