I know not everyone cards about flavor, but I think Magic is in a great place if the think the Zombie deck does is exactly what the average person would answer if you asked them what a Zombie deck should do

The other huge upgrade that isn't a Vampire is, of course, Skullclamp, which if you're lucky enough to find / stick on the battlefield will draw you all the cards you need to close out the game

Maybe some kind Dimir discard ramp control deck, so your opponent does not have the cards to take advantage of the free spell part

As soon as you know what kind of cycling deck you want, find a commander that fits the decks needs
