While Sofia will always be a decent piece of removal, especially considering Commanders are Legendary, you can definitely get a similar effect for less mana, making Sofia kind of clunky in the long run
Also, although the "boarded" creature is no longer able to be targetted by opponents, the seat that the creature occupies can be targetted with certain specific cards, such as this one below - If an opponent was able to successfully board an enemy vehicle with Cunning Hijacker, then the creature that was previously boarded to that seat would fall off, and Cunning Hijacker would now occupy the seat
