In my preview column on the design of Dimir, I explained why grind (the "mill until you hit some number of lands" mechanic) wasn't the named mechanic of Dimir

The ability to eternalize for six mana is extremely relevant because red decks usually lose when they run out of gas in the late-game, but Earthshaker Khenra gives the red deck extra reach it didnt have before

One difference here is that the lands are played from exile, not cast from exile like most adventures, so cards that key off of casting from exile specifically wont trigger

You can save some mana if you use Reanimate on Leveler when its in your graveyard
