I wish I had an answer for when it was right to turn the corner, but its fairly imprecise

This card is good and I expect to have to play against it regularly in Standard

It's also a Nightmare, giving it some utility in Commander decks led by Umbris, Fear Manifest or Captain N'ghathrod

First, does Hardened Scales actually make Walking Ballista enter with an additional counter

Please do not suggest fetch lands because I cannot get a grasp on one, too expensive :( The deck contains a bit of control (Counterspells, and artifact/enchantment destruction) and guys hitting the opponent's face to get the Derevi, Empyrial Tactician trigger (Hero of Bladehold, Nacatl War-Pride, Sun Quan, Lord of Wu )
