Heres a quick breakdown: Vintage Packs Pros : Deep nostalgia and historical connection True scarcity from limited print runs Proven long-term value growth Cons : High upfront cost (some packs sell for $300$700+) Risky to open due to value loss and duplicates Less appeal to younger/new collectors Modern Packs Pros : Readily available and affordable Flashy chase cards like Rainbow Rares and Alt Arts Good for quick flips or low-stakes collecting Cons : Mass-produced with high PSA 10 populations Volatile value based on hype cycles Less guaranteed long-term value Bottom Line : If youre after investment potential and a deep connection to Pokmons roots, vintage packs are absolutely worth collecting
