While some Standard cards will start to spike a bit now that Core Set 2019 is becoming a known quantity, I wouldnt chase the market too much right now
Outside of sacrificing it or destroying the aura, which not every color can meaningfully do, youve now disabled their most threatening creature, potentially for the remainder of the game

If thats not fitting for the problem youre facing, you can also choose to have all creature tokens get -2/-2 until the end of the turn, which is going to be great against Wolf tokens, Zombie tokens, probably Human tokens and basically every other creature token too
If the Phyrexian Germ token is destroyed, the Equipment remains on the battlefield as with any other Equipment
