I believe this may just come down to the fact that the Amber/Amethyst deck feels a bit more original and new than its counterpart, even though the Ruby/Steel deck was excellent

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose acts as a win condition in our deck, and both it and Marauding Blight-Priest go infinite with Exquisite Blood in our deck (I avoided adding Sanguine Bond because I think Vito / Priest are superior for being cheaper and Vampires so more synergy)
