On the nose it offers aromas of black pepper, blackberry, cassis, coffee, floral notes, tobacco and vanilla. Full bodied, complex, dry, balanced acidity, strong oak impression, fairly tannic, with a long finish. This vineyards soil is very similarly of that found in the Serralunga dAlba area, which helps produce a supremely elegant and long lived Barbaresco with great similarity to Barolo.
