Heavy and solid sterling silver, it has hexagonal cut corners and fine engraving to the lid. Scrolling foliate surrounds the large oval cartouche which is currently vacant so this beautiful case could be personalised and engraved with a name or special message to make a beautiful gift. It is very well made, a continental piece, imported into the UK with import marks and date letter for 1891. It has
