It is stamped "Walklate Berkhamsted", John Walklate (1819 1894) was born in Hemel and was a saddler and harness maker all his working life, his shop seems to have ceased trading in the mid 20th century The case closes with a billet fastening The case has its original top strap which attaches the flask
