Vidal-Fleury, Hermitage 2019 Appellation_Costières de Nîmes dark and complex AmaroneA famous name from the northern Rhne, and a dark, intense Syrah offering savoury, spicy aromas that mingle with those of dark berries and damsons. Ageing on the lees before four years in barrel and twelve months in bottle lends silkiness to firm, peppery tannins that will continue to mellow with further cellaring. This is a natural partner for roasts and meat stews, and a sumptuous accompaniment to a Christmas goose or a cheese plate.
