John Divola - Dogs Chasing my Car in the Desert - Nazraeli Press 2004 architecture Marian Goodman Gallery - VerlagFrom 1995 to 1998, Divola was working on a series of photographes of isolated houses in Southern California. As he meandered through the desert, a dog would occasionally chase his car. Sometime in 1996, he began to bring along a 35mm camera equipped with a motor drive and loaded with a fast and grainy b&w film. The process was simple: when he saw a dog coming toward the car, he would pre focus the camera and set the exposure. Contemplating a dog
