1915 WW1 Leather Cavalry Saddle Pouch or Case - cav071 spring Between the collars the shaft

Between the collars the shaft  is covered in very dark brown braided leather

The ring has cast and engraved decorations

1915 WW1 Leather Cavalry Saddle Pouch or Case - cav071 spring Between the collars the shaftA brown leather case. There are two saddle straps on the back for attachment to the D rings of a saddle, These are in good condition. There is also a strap on the back with a brass D ring on each end. The lid of the case is curved and closes with a brass buckle fastening. The lid is stamped "597". Under the lid the front of the case is stamped "J. Cripps 1915" . The case is unlined. There is an interior partition across the case and the front section
