Originally part of a series about a lover's quarrel between two women vying for the affection of a clown, this particular scene shows the distraught clown kneeling on the ground while a woman reclines on him about to drink a bottle of poison. Wrapped around her ankles is a life preserver. Across from the couple stands another woman pointing one gun
