A red-tailed hawk soars overhead as it increases its altitude by catching heat thermals while looking for prey below at Wildflower Park

To help me balance out the exposure of this scene I used a 2 stop neutral density filter

The colors of the sky shifted from the light colored oranges and purples to a deep orange as the sun came closer to touching the horizon

I started to look for patterns with color and found many cloud subjects to choose from

As I was waiting and watching the light move across the landscape to light up this area in the early morning, I thought to myself how beautiful this is with the soft morning light brushing the landscape over these peachleaf willow trees, cottonwood tree, oak trees and box elder tree.
