It's a Cash Grab As far as the Fortnite Secret Lair drops being a "cash grab," this very well might be true, assuming the definition of "cash grab" is something along the lines of "a product that doesn't have much / any long-term benefit to the game and is designed exclusively / primarily as a way to make a quick buck." While personally I don't think this is 100% true of Universes Beyond products (at a minimum they have the potential to bring new players into the game, which would be beneficial over the long term), for the sake of argument, let's just say that the Fortnite Lair drops (and really, Lair drops in general) are "cash grab" products
Once you do have multiple characters attacking together, Blackbeard's single redirect per turn still can't stop all of them, so a wide board built up over a few turns should push some damage through even against a deck built to absorb single-target aggression
