Summary cEDH decks are powerful, require deep Magic knowledge, and often win quickly with explosive combos
Generally I think the card is weaker when played turn one, as when on the play you dont know what you need in the matchup (the turn two patchwork might look great until your opponent casts an Amulet of Vigor turn one for example), and it doesnt setup your board to be stronger at all
Due to the nature of the Commander, activation costs such as perversion are not a big problem, and since the composition of the deck is such that all permanents except basic lands have different names, it can be said to be a spell that practically returns all graveyards to the battlefield
These arent just rare cards
Fallen Shinobi's price movement has been far less dramatic than Ashling's, it's only gone from $2 to $4.50, but that's still quite surprising for a card that's had two reprints in Commander precon products in the last couple of years
