When I built an EDH deck with it (pre-Commander), I had a lot of fun, but early in the format it was a bit of a boogeyman and would often get hated on with all the removal your opponents could throw at it

They work so well every game I've drawn them

Mulldrifter A 2/2 flying dude and 2 cards for 5 mana is pretty good

This offers up way more interesting gameplay and forces players to think about and evaluate battlefield states, leading to fewer instances of players just plopping their cards on the table and saying I win. Seven mana made me sit up, but then I saw that its ten power worth of creatures and it plays right into the coven mechanic, like Trostanis Summoner and Bestial Menace do
