In the Forest | Gysinge, Sweden Size:30x40cm with the dune ridge catching

with the dune ridge catching direct sunlight while the storm closed in from every side

In late September the birch forest that surrounds the lagoon turns in a matter of days - the whole valley gold and amber against the pale blue-white of the sediment-laden water

warm palette with its mix of cool green and warm gold works in any interior where colour and texture are the priority

the water stained by halophilic bacteria that thrive only where salinity reaches its extreme

The deep red and mineral white palette makes this one of the most distinctive images in the collection - strong enough to anchor a room on its own
