Vintage Albert Chain Necklace Sterling Silver 18ct Gold Gilt Topaz METAL: 18ct Gold/ Platinum (Stamped)A fancy vintage Albert chain necklace consisting of interlocking fetter links and knots with a T bar hanging at the end. Its all modelled in sterling silver and has been given a bright 18ct yellow gold finish. Albert chains are named after Prince Albert, Queen Victorias consort and were traditionally worn by gentlemen to secure a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. Today, they are also worn as stylish necklaces; a custom that was started by
