Winemaker Peter Fischer keeps to minimalist intervention, even here in his ros, preserving freshness but letting the terroir speak clearly. The wine has a weighty texture, underlying acidity, notes of strawberry blossoms and wet cobblestones. It is pure and fresh and for well under $20 rivals many of the ross from Bandol.
