Around 1796, the merchant Gaubert wanted to expand his country house and make it an important winery. He entrusted the work to the architect Gabriel Durand, collaborator of Victor Louis, who directed the construction of the Grand Thtre de Bordeaux. Durand preserves the original construction also from the eighteenth century
