2013 Poujeaux, Moulis plums and black cherries meldThe 2013 Poujeaux does a great job of capturing the best this tricky vintage had to offer. Black cherries, plums, tobacco, smoke, violets and spices all lift out of the glass in a Mdoc that is distinctly Pinot like in its perfumed, expressive aromatics and mid weight structure. Although atypical, there is little doubt the 2013 Poujeaux is quite pretty. A second sample tasted a few days later showed a bit more flesh and overall resonance. The blend is
