Otherwise there is excellent volume to the equally muscular big-bodied flavors that are richer but don't quite have the same sense of underlying tension before terminating in a palate coating and quite firmly structured finish that delivers terrific length

The well-delineated and punchy middle weight flavors possess ample richness as well as very good volume before concluding in a slightly more powerful and complex finale

A close second (and who knows how they might perform at different times and with different foods) is the 2012 Cariad Proprietary Red Wine
