Make your saddle strap a permanent addition to every saddle you ride in & have one less strap to fasten. The lanyard and saddle strap must be fitted correctly in order for the air jacket system to work correctly. Point Two strongly recommend that you get one saddle strap per saddle and you leave each securely attached at all times. Please see the instruction manual
