Port Orford Cedar Acoustic Guitar Soundboard Dreadnought Size, Bright and Expressive Sound, Eco-Friendly, Sustainable Guitar Wood (KM47) myrtle 18 x 9 1/2 xPort Orford Cedar is a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building acoustic guitars and ukuleles. It has a tone that is not as bright and sweet as spruce, but a little darker and earthier. It plays well at all volumes and responds well to a pick or finger. The wood will darken to a butterscotch color with age and exposure to light. We recover our Port Orford Cedar on the Southern Oregon Coast. The areas that the trees are removed from are replanted
