T. Palmer and including 75 paintings by Alfred Heaton Cooper. It shows the bridge over the River Leven looking south towards the road to Backbarrow and Ulverston. The river frontage here now is dominated by The Swan Hotel. Newby Bridge is at the foot of Lake Windermere, from which one can get a steamer up to Waterhead, some 11
