She was an inupiaq woman and I can't imagine what her daily life in Alaska would have been like. I found myself daydreaming about her early years and visiting Teller, her small fishing village, some day. Like all of the other animals and subjects of my art, this friendly giant was created using layer upon layer of paint to create interesting
