Bouchard Pere & Fils Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chenes 2017 Non-vintage the wine is medium bodiedHere too the wood is very prominent though the underlying fruit appears to have been freshness and this is confirmed on the palate as there is much better vibrancy to the bigger bodied flavours that exhibit fine power and drive on the very firm and robust finale.
