the Mini PB got its start in life as an A-tool type lock-puller but given its familiar shape and working ends we think it works best as a general use officers tools for light prying

Most of them are interminably dry and hard to read

The K-TOOL from Fire Hooks Unlimited 000 CandelaWhen all else fails, there's alway the tried and true! Invented in 1972 by FDNY firefighter (and licensed locksmith) William McLaughlin, the K Tool was the first commercially produced through the lock tool made specifically for firefighters. While we'd recommend the S&D Rex or one of the other Rex Tools (also made by Fire Hooks Unlimited) over the K Tool, the K does still does a good job of pulling rim and mortise cylinders.
