Elongated Engraved Silver Match Safe scrimshaw The back of the claspBeautiful sterling silver, long and slender match safe, this piece probably belonged to a woman and was hung from a chatelaine. The front is engraved with a swan on a lily pond with a butterfly and cattails, the back has a foliage design. It has a nice strong hinge and chunky jumping. This piece measures 2 3 4 inches including the jump ring by 1 inch wide.
