This steel is know as San mai which is a laminated steel providing an excellent edge from the carbon core and a protective cladding from the stainless. The blade is features a distal taper with an octagonal handle made of Spalted Maple and Bog Oak. Aogami Super is a high carbon steel. It will naturally develop a patina with
