This 1950s novelty basket purse is actually a tiki hut with a handsome native drummer sitting outside his hand painted front door. He's carefully painted as well in a pleasantly primitive manner, with a real fur skirt and chenille headband. The tiki hut has a felt grass border, raffia roof lid and a terrific shield to the back. Over all this detail, an arched pair of "banana" leaves creates a very clever handbag handle.
