It has quite the magnificent form, stretching up tall in a pyramidal shape with a thick central leader. It is made up of branches that have a dense growing habit and shoot out off the trunk horizontally and parallel to the ground. Its foliage is dark green and textured and is one of the last leaves to drop in the fall before turning a subtle pale yellow. In early spring, one of the
