Solitude Standing Kasumi Osada all while reflecting on hisThis photobook was created to commemorate the centenary of the birth of photographer Ichiro Kojima (born in Aomori, 1924). Although Kojima's career as a photographer spanned only about ten years before his untimely death, during that time he utilized exceptional compositional skills and darkroom techniques (such as dodging and burning) to dramatically depict the harsh environment and the lives of the people in Japan's Tohoku region. This volume
