These beautiful percussion instruments produce a range of sounds depending on how they are played. Each shaker is unique and made from natural, non endangered rattan which is woven into a bell shaped shaker. When shaken and rotated the caxixi makes a mixture of soft and sharp percussive sounds. It is typically played upright, using a sharp up and
